The tranquility of the Nusa Dua Spa spreads over 5,000 square meters of lush gardens and rejuvenating pools that guarantees a natural experience to increase healthy well-being for modern day living. As a world-class tropical resort Spa, it conforms to international standards and offers a variety of beauty therapies, traditional massages and body polishes.
The day spa complex includes plunge pools, aromatic saunas, cool dips, steam rooms, jacuzzi, 25 meters lap pool, individual massage rooms, separate male and female lockers, a spa villa, private spa pavilions and beauty salon for manicure, pedicure and beauty treatments. In the day, couples can enjoy the day spa Villa's outdoor pool with sun lounges, sauna, whirlpool, or Swiss shower with steam bath. Couples can also take a spa massage or body treatment in total privacy, together.
Within the spa complex, the Sports center offers great opportunities for physical fitness and exercise. Facilities include body works studio; weight works gym, glass back squash courts, basketball ring, and 4 meters mountain climbing wall. The gymnasium has body sculpting and cardiovascular exercise equipment. For those who prefer a more outdoor routine can play a game of tennis on one of the two synthetic grassed tennis courts available, or spend time on the beach with energetic water sports activities just a few minutes walk from the complex.
The Spa Café is also located in the Nusa Dua Spa. Guests may relax at the café after a treatment to enjoy fresh fruit juices or herbal teas.
The body and skin oils used at The Nusa Dua day spa are gathered for the goodness of nature and based on secret blends of essential oils, flowers, spices, herbs and plants which have been used by Indonesian women for centuries. All beauty accessories and traditionally blended oils are available at the Spa Essentials Shop. This unique shop is located just at the entrance of the spa together with the reception area and houses specially prepared earth-friendly products.
The unique spa experience is made more memorable by the choice of private indoor and outdoor facilities. Massage/Spa treatment facilities include:
- three individual massage rooms for men and women
- one massage room for couples
- three single facial treatment rooms
- two single wet treatment rooms for traditional lulur and boreh or coconut body polish
- one wet treatment room for couples
- one private two-storey day spa villa complete with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, massage tables and plunge pool
- two private two-storey day spa villas complete with steam room, jacuzzi, massage tables, plunge pool, bale and gardens
- two private spa pavilions, with two massage tables and a traditional Balinese “bale”
- two specially designed chairs for jet lag treatments
- hair & beauty salon offering manicure, pedicure and hairstyling (the beauty salon is operated by Jerry Humphries under the watchful supervision of the Spa Manager)
Various day spa treatments are available including single massage, traditional body treatments, facial treatments and special packages. The most common spa package is “The Ritual” which is a combination of foot massage, traditional oil hair treatment, body massage and body scrub, takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. The Balinese massage is the favorite for single massage technique that leaves the body and mind relaxed and invigorated. This massage takes 50 minutes. The Javanese Lulur is also a favorite choice from the selection of wet treatments. Originating from the royal palaces in java, this traditional relaxing and cleansing treatment soothes, softens and exfoliates the skin using turmeric, sandalwood, herbs and spices. This treatment takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.
It is available to arrive 15–20 minutes prior the treatment appointment as it will allow ample time to change, place personal belongings in the lockers, shower, relax in the jacuzzi, steam room or sauna and familiarize with the facilities available at The Nusa Dua day spa.
